Woll-Knäuel, Rohwolle

Wool is not only insensitive to dirt, but also provides good protection against the cold. The number one wool supplier is the sheep. However, the fine hair of angora, alpacas, cashmere goats and other animals may also be referred to as wool under the Textile Labelling Act. Virgin wool is a special case: only wool that has been shaved by live animals and contains only a small proportion of foreign fibers can be described as such.
